About Trauma Neuro ICU!

Trauma Neuro ICU is a 26 bed unit that provides comprehensive and compassionate care for adults with a variety of Trauma and/or Neuro disease processes. This includes, but is not limited to: blunt force trauma, motor vehicle accidents, gun shots, stab wounds, brain trauma/injuries and stroke patients. We are a Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Mercy will support YOU toward specialty certifications, including TNCC and CCRN. This is a GREAT opportunity if you aspire to excel in Critical Care or pathway as a Nurse Anesthetist.

Available Shifts (12s): Nights (7:00pm-7:30am)

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  2. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  3. Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
  4. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
    1. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    2. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    3. ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
    4. TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    5. CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
    6. OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
    7. BLS (Basic Life Support)
    8. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    9. PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
    10. S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
    11. C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
    12. Other unit specific certifications as required
