Job summary

Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Transplant Nephrology Unit is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes nursing process, communication with the care team, and collaboration to meet patient goals.

Requires BSN preferred and Michigan RN licensure with BLS within 30 days. Two 12-hour shifts weekly, weekends/holidays rotation, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM schedule, 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
