Overview

The Transfer Specialist accurately listens and responds appropriately to requests from transferring physicians, hospitals, inter-departments, and co-workers. The Transfer Specialist ensures all paperwork and computer entries are checked for accuracy and continually enhances their knowledge regarding processes. The Transfer Specialist prioritizes customer service. The position requires working weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required:

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Alabama RN licenses required.
2. Experience: Previous critical care experience preferred.
3. Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude toward healthcare members and diverse patient populations. Exhibits diplomacy and time management skills. Demonstrates efficiency and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using multi-line telephones. Computer skills required; Word and Excel preferred. TNCC certification required.
