About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Reviewer to join our Home Health and Hospice Medicare review team as a Training and Quality Assurance Coordinator.

Position Purpose

Coordinates the quality control program for the medical review area, provides feedback and training based on quality audits, researches CMS changes, develops staff training materials, trains new staff, updates spreadsheets, and reports to CMS.

Logistics

Location: Palmetto GBA, available hours between 8:00 am - 5:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Remote work possible with high-speed internet and a private home office. Travel to Columbia, SC may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical review decisions for accuracy and CMS compliance.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.
• Assist with medical coverage issues and respond to provider inquiries.
• Maintain reference manuals and provide continuing education.
• Train new staff and manage system access.
• Create reports on quality control metrics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Four years of clinical, review, training, or quality assurance experience.
• Active RN license in the U.S. or multistate license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience with Home Health, Hospice, CMS systems, and IRR systems.
• Excellent presentation and attention to detail skills.
