Job summary

Qualifications

  • Requires ASN or Nursing Diploma and CA RN license.
  • CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Six months of recent hospital, clinic, or similar nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data.
  • Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning. Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes.
  • Administers prescribed medications and intravenous solutions according to standards of care and hospital protocols.
  • Assesses pain level in all patients using '0-10', 'Faces', or other approved scale to promote comfort and enable patients to participate in their healing.
  • Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs.
  • Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient's condition in a timely manner.

  • Assesses pain level in all patients using '0-10', 'Faces', or other approved scale to promote comfort and enable patients to participate in their healing. Provides timely/appropriate assessment/intervention. Identifies comfort function goals with patients.
  • Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health acre needs. (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options). Adapts standards and guidelines for individual patients.
  • Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient's condition in a timely manner.
Job Requirements

Required:

  • Associates Of Science ASN and Six months of recent hospital, clinic or similar nursing experience., upon hire or
  • Other Nursing Diploma, upon hire and
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Of Science BSN, upon hire
