• AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures.
• GME programs on the hospital campus include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year.
• Home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research for over 35 years.
• The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute leads in clinical and academic research in neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, and advanced surgery.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Team Leader supervises, coordinates, and performs patient care on the assigned nursing unit, ensuring standards of nursing care are met. Acts as a clinical resource and role model, and participates in performance appraisals for personnel on the shift.

The Registered Nurse provides self-directed, effective nursing care to groups of patients and other duties as assigned, in accordance with Division of Nursing standards and Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 464.003 (3) (a): "Practice of professional nursing means the performance of those acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skill based upon applied practices of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences."

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Minimum of one year (1) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid BLS Certification, ACLS, and NIHSS.
