Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Venice Pinebrook Office to plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care within an oncology team.

You will coordinate unit activities, educate staff, and respond to emergencies, with travel to clinics as needed. Florida RN license, BLS/ CPR, and oncologic experience are required or preferred, with a supportive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license.
• OCN certification preferred.
• At least two years of hematology/oncology experience in a clinic or hospital.
• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Florida driver's license for travel to clinics.
• BLS required upon hire or within 30 days; FCS provides BLS course.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Position Summary: Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall nursing care and functions.

• Coordinate the activities of the unit and direct, organize, and assign work to the nurses and pharmacy technicians.

• Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care.

• Institute emergency procedures as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Florida;

• Certification of OCN, preferred.

• At least two years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is required.

• Position also requires fluency in the English language well as excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Current CPR certification required.

• Valid Florida driver's license for travel to clinics.

• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
