Job summary

Coral Gables Hospital in Sunrise Harbor, FL, is seeking a professional RN to deliver specialized care in the Telemetry/PCU setting. The role requires adherence to hospital policies, use of the nursing process, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida RN license, BLS, and ACLS, with expertise in dysrhythmia interpretation and critical care delivery. Strong critical thinking and supervision duties are part of the responsibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional and technical nursing care to patients per hospital policies.
• Assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
• Prepares equipment and monitors patient status using nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Assists in planning, supervising and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
• May take charge relief assignments occasionally.

Job description

Position Summary:

Delivers professional and technical nursing care to patients presenting to Specialty Aras. Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Adheres to the monitoring of and compliance with all licensing and regulatory agency guidelines including but not limited to JC, ACHA, OSHA, CMS, DCF, etc. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering nursing care. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Assists in planning, supervising and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and patient Care Assistants. May take charge relief assignments occasionally. The professional nurse must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful fast paced environment is essential.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required licensures/certifications

• Current Florida Nursing License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Experience

The nurse will possess at least (1) of the following requirements:

• a) One year of RN Telemetry or PCU experience validated by previous employment.
• b) Dysrhythmia interpretation and management course.
• c) Adult critical care /Telemetry 12 weeks of completion course.
• d) Three years Medical Surgical experience with documented competency in EKG.
