Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with multiple departments. This role emphasizes accountability for care and evaluating outcomes across care teams.

The position requires graduation from a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN), active RN licensure in the state or a compact license, and BLS with potential additional certifications per unit needs such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, PEARS,

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (AD/Diploma/BSN).
• Maintain current RN license in hired state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) cert or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications may vary by unit: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, and other unit-specific certs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Education
