Job summary

Boone Hospital Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Specialties unit on weekend days. The role offers a 36-hour weekly schedule with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Daytime hours run from 7:00 a.m.

to 7:30 p.m., with comprehensive GN benefits and access to an accredited Nurse Residency Program. Responsibilities include direct patient care, education of patients and families, care planning with the team, and ongoing evaluation of treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and be eligible to practice in Missouri.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and meds.
• Uses critical thinking to address patients’ physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and modify care plans.
• Promotes safety, quality and regulatory compliance in daily practice.
