Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5 years of perioperative experience required, with at least 1 year in hospital surgery, surgery clinic, clinical research, or medical records.

Responsibilities

• Identify surgical patients for NSQIP inclusion using inclusion/exclusion criteria.
• Collect preoperative, operative, and postoperative data from hospital records.
• Enter data accurately into NSQIP database and meet caseload requirements.
• Develop educational materials and deliver presentations on NSQIP to internal and external audiences.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and credentials related to quality improvement.
• Collaborate with staff in clinics, medicine, nursing, medical records, and IS departments.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and respect patient privacy.
