Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, inviting experienced Canadian RNs to apply. The role entails 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotations and holiday commitments.

The RN will provide bedside care within a dynamic surgical/post-operative unit, supported by Trinity Health's comprehensive benefits and residency programs. Excellent customer service and computer proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN required; BSN must be pursued within five years.
• Current RN license in Michigan required; BLS required.
• Computer proficiency and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care within assigned shift and care plan.
• Coordinate and document nursing care with the health care team.
• Educate patients and families and delegate activities as appropriate.

2 South: This 40-bed Progressive Care Unit specializes in post-operative care for a variety of surgical patients, including bariatric procedures, joint replacements, hip fractures, bowel obstructions, cholecystitis, and more. This telemetry-equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and has the capability to manage cardiac drips. Nurses here are skilled in wound and drain care, pain management, and delivering comprehensive recovery support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.
