Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Progressive Care Unit seeks an experienced RN to coordinate nursing care for high-acuity patients. You will lead care transitions, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement activities across the unit.

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and adaptability are essential. BSN/MSN remains preferred; ACLS/BLS certifications are required. Night shifts and weekend coverage are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; provide evidence of BSN within five years.
• Progressive or intermediate care experience preferred.
• One year RN experience within last five years preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays; on-call.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families; facilitate transitions of care.
• Lead teams; participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Mentor staff and participate in committees as needed.
• May be required to drive a personal vehicle in some roles.
