Job summary

Trinity Health in Minot, ND seeks a Registered Nurse in Surgical Nursing to deliver comprehensive post-operative care, perform frequent assessments, manage pain, and support safe recovery with patient-centered education.

  • Administer medications, wound care, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with clinical standards and evaluate patient responses.
  • Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia teams, therapy providers, and case management to support effective recovery and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient education within the electronic health record.
  • Educate patients and families on postoperative care needs, incision care, mobility expectations, pain management strategies, and safety precautions.
  • Participate in quality and safety initiatives to enhance surgical patient outcomes and support process improvement within the surgical nursing unit.
