Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit, a 43-bed unit providing care for acute and chronic digestive surgical patients, including bariatric cases. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants and relocation supports.

The RN will deliver post-operative care, manage complex wounds and ostomies, and collaborate with residency teams to ensure high-quality outcomes for our community in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN (IDFPR) with active license
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of start
• HS Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Perform post-operative care for digestive surgical patients
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for care coordination
• Complete initial patient assessment and develop an individualized care plan
• Implement and adjust plan based on patient progress and family needs
• Collaborate with surgical residents and OMFS teams for optimal outcomes
