Job summary

Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is seeking a dedicated RN for a part-time role delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will assist in coordinating care for patients across medical and surgical populations and uphold Mercy's mission and standards.

The role offers opportunities to build experience, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to a patient-focused environment aligned with Mercy values and patient rights.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

The Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is made up of several specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

• Part-Time, 24 hours per week***
