Job summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). This role provides multi-skilled support to a decentralized, patient-centered care model and aims for optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma, with multiple pathways to PCT II eligibility; BLS is required within two weeks of hire and must be maintained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT II requires one of: associate or bachelor's degree; or 1 year in PCT I at MUSA CHS; or 1 year in healthcare facility; or nursing school enrollment; or CNA/CMA certification.
• BLS required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs multi-skilled activities to support patient-centered care and outcomes.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager and MUHA supervisor.
• Supports care during Day shifts and 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks including weekends/holidays.
