Job Title: RN Supervisor (Weekends) - All Shifts

Facility: Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care

Location: Briarcliff Manor, NY

Shift: PRN Weekends - 7 AM to 3 PM, 3 PM to 11 PM, 11 PM to 7 AM

Salary: $55-$60 per hour

Position Summary:

Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team for PRN weekend shifts. As an RN Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily nursing functions and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. This role will involve direct supervision of nursing staff, participation in the development and implementation of resident care plans, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the daily functions of the Nursing Department.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to their job descriptions and provide quality care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation, and regular updating of resident care plans.
  • Evaluate LPN and CNA performance annually and assist with staff disciplinary actions, including counseling, warnings, and participation in hiring and termination decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and Nursing Administration regarding resident concerns.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and quality care for each shift.
  • Conduct daily rounds to assess the performance of nursing staff and ensure adherence to acceptable nursing standards.
  • Investigate complaints and grievances filed by nursing staff and make necessary reports.
  • Provide direct nursing care as needed, including assessments, MDS completion, medication administration, and treatment management.
  • Ensure accurate charting and documentation of resident care and nursing activities.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and collaborate with the MDS Department to ensure timely documentation and audits.
  • Oversee emergency equipment checks, narcotic counts, and maintenance of the facility.
  • Investigate all accidents/incidents and ensure proper documentation and reporting, ensuring no evidence of abuse.
  • Monitor residents during their first 30 days post-admission and collaborate on discharge planning with Social Services.


Requirements:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of New York.
  • At least 1 year of nursing home experience.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to supervise and support nursing staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to assess and respond to the needs of residents and staff in a fast-paced environment.
