Overview

The Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care by competent staff. They optimize resource utilization to meet productivity and financial goals. They collaborate with administrative personnel, physicians, and staff to improve processes across the continuum. They ensure proper staffing, manage patient flow and bed issues, and inspire a shared vision among staff. They model professionalism, positivity, and leadership, encouraging change and providing mentorship. They hold staff accountable for responsibilities and compliance with policies and regulations, always aligning with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of a State-approved School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or a temporary work permit.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in a hospital setting.
  • Certifications: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or completion within probation.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing.
  • Preferred Experience: Supervisory experience.
  • Preferred Certifications: Nursing Specialty Certification.
  • Preferred Other: Change Management.
