Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join the pediatric nursing leadership team for the evening shift in Brooklyn, NY.

The RN Supervisor will oversee the nursing staff, ensure high-quality care for medically complex pediatric residents, and respond to changes in resident condition while maintaining clear communication with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• PICU or NICU experience required.
• Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients.
• Previous RN Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong pediatric assessment and critical-care skills.
• Ability to remain calm and provide leadership during clinical emergencies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff during the evening shift.
• Oversee the care of medically complex pediatric residents.
• Provide hands-on clinical guidance and leadership to the nursing team.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate interventions.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, physician orders, medications, treatments, and nursing documentation.
• Ensure nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards are consistently followed.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and provide leadership during urgent situations.
• Communicate with physicians, families, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and nursing coverage throughout the shift.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up on incidents, clinical concerns, and changes in resident condition.
• Ensure a smooth transition and appropriate communication between shifts.

Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our pediatric nursing leadership team for the evening shift.

The RN Supervisor will oversee the nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to medically complex pediatric residents. This position requires a clinically strong RN who can lead the nursing staff, respond to changes in resident condition, and ensure appropriate communication and follow-through throughout the evening shift.

Candidates must have previous PICU or NICU experience and be comfortable working with children who have complex medical and clinical needs.
