Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Oncology Navigation Team in Dallas. This role oversees nursing staff, manages daily patient care, and ensures quality and compliance within the oncology navigation pathway.

Qualifications include ADN with Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and 5 years of general nursing plus 1 year in supervision. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ADN (BSN preferred).
• Texas RN licensure required upon hire.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and mentors nursing staff on the Oncology Navigation Team.
• Manages daily patient care operations and assigns nursing duties.
• Monitors patient care delivery and ensures compliance with standards.
• Participates in development of care protocols and performance evaluations.
• Facilitates teamwork through staff meetings and training sessions.
• Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and internal controls.

JOB DUTIES

• Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
• Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
• Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
