Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Med Surg ICU, night shift, to oversee operations and patient care in designated areas. This role acts as a clinical resource for staff and patients and may serve as a staff nurse when needed.

Managerial duties delegated by a supervisor will be performed in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure, BLS certification (within 30 days), and at least 2 years of

• Maintain current RN license within hiring state/compact.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years' experience in patient care is required.
• Supervisor experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Position Details:

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.

Licensure:

• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Experience:

• 2 years' experience in patient care is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisor experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
