Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee nursing staff and provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. The role requires ensuring care according to plans, policies, and physician orders, while coordinating with physicians and the nursing team.

You will supervise LPNs, MACs, and CNAs, perform rounds, document care, and participate in med pass audits. Responsibilities include care planning, assessments, and communication with families as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama (required).
• Current CPR certification.
• Computer skills and ability to use appropriate software.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments and documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing staff regarding resident status and shift changes.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care as indicated.
• Transcribe physician orders and ensure completion of orders.
• Meet with residents or families to discuss care and report issues to supervision.
• Complete medication pass audits and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate resident activities with staff and inform about new admissions.
• Report any issues regarding resident care to the Director of Nursing.
