Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut (CT).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families, and care team.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing operations on the unit under the oversight of the DON.
• Supervise, delegate, and coordinate care provided by RNs, LPNs, CNAs.
• Perform regular rounds to assess residents’ status and monitor conditions.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed, including IV starts and specimen collection.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical status, orders, labs, and interventions.
• Communicate with families/POAs and physicians about status updates.
• Oversee completion of assessments (e.g., MDS) and timely care plans.
