Job summary
Tender Care is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to deliver health services to individuals with disabilities who are experiencing mental and physical conditions. The RN will collaborate with physicians, supervise care, and maintain comprehensive medical records.
The role requires strong knowledge of New Jersey nursing regulations, ability to lift 25-50 pounds, and independence. This position is based in Morris County with local travel to various locations and shift options including evenings
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
- Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license
- Cooperate with Tender Care and DHS staff in inspections, inquiries or investigations
- Criminal background check; must not be disqualified by DHS
- Name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
- Complete CARI check
- Drug testing prior to employment (post-6/15/18 hires)
- Random and for-cause drug testing
Responsibilities
- Supervision of LPNs or others providing nursing care
- Provide feedback, performance reviews, and assist with hiring of nursing staff
- Assist with budget development for medical care clients
- Provide medical training for all staff when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Monitor the consumer’s use of medications through logs
- Make referrals for needed medical services and ensure follow-up care
