The RN Supervisor, Day Surgery role at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple leads the Pre-Op and Post-Op services within a high-volume Day Surgery unit, ensuring safe patient care and efficient operations. This nurse leader plays a pivotal role on the perioperative leadership team.

RN Supervisor, Day Surgery

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital, Magnet-designated, and the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. We are seeking an experienced nurse leader to join our Perioperative Services leadership team as a Day Surgery Supervisor.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

About The Department

Our Day Surgery unit includes both Pre-Op and Post-Op services, with 38 shared beds supporting a high-volume surgical program.

• Approximately 80 patients cared for daily in Pre-Op
• Approximately 40 patients discharged daily from Post-Op
• Team consists of:
  • 14 Pre-Op RNs
  • 7 Post-Op RNs

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Previous Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Council Chair, or other informal leadership experience
• Experience in a peri-anesthesia setting such as Pre-Op, PACU, Day Surgery, Ambulatory Surgery, or related perioperative area
• Proven track record of taking initiative, completing projects, and coordinating team efforts
• Strong leadership presence with a passion for staff development and patient-centered care
