Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an RN Supervisor for Care at Home Clinical Services to lead daily clinical operations for infusion, home health, and remote patient monitoring. You will direct nursing staff, ensure care quality, and drive performance improvements across the home care program.

The role requires an RN license with CPR AED and at least 3 years of RN experience, with preferred BSN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 3 years experience as an RN.
• RN license (Registered Nurse) and CPR AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and teaches others specialized knowledge and acts as a preceptor.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services to assure high levels of patient satisfaction with a focus on care at home.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care and leads/participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and ensures services meet nursing standards of care.
• Designs, executes, and delivers internal controls to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Facilitates teamwork and staff development and staff satisfaction.
• Supervises clinical staff and participates in hiring, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Acts as liaison for implementation and monitoring of documentation standards in the medical record.
• Performs direct patient care in addition to administrative duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Organizes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care activities within general or specialized area.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Education Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience 3 years experience as an RN
• Licenses and Certifications (RN) REGISTERED NURSE and (CPRAED) CPR AED

• Experience 3 years of Home Health nursing experience 1 year of supervisory experience

Job Duties

• Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty. Acts as a preceptor and resource for the department processes.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services to assure high levels of patient satisfaction with a focus on PACT. Assists in the management of financial, capital, and human resources.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care. Leads/participates in departmental performance improvement activities and integration of services.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance. Ensures services meet established nursing standards of care and quality standards.
• Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Facilitates teamwork and staff development and staff satisfaction through planned group processes.
• Supervises clinical staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel. Responsible for recommending hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with the Clinic Manager. Ensures that new employees are oriented and trained appropriately.
• Actively works with care at home leadership as the liaison for implementation and monitoring of established documentation standards in the medical record.
• Along with administrative duties, provides direct patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
