Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead the clinical staff in the designated community practice. The role oversees daily operations, triage, and direct patient care when needed to ensure safe and timely service.

You will supervise, coach, and mentor staff, conduct training and performance evaluations, support recruitment, and collaborate with providers to maintain compliant workflows and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current California RN License
• BSN or MSN
• 3 years of ambulatory experience, preferably in urgent care or emergency department setting (staff nurse/charge nurse/manager)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations including supply management and workflow coordination to ensure efficient clinic performance.
• Provide triage support and direct patient care as needed to maintain safe and timely service delivery.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor clinical staff; conduct training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Support recruitment efforts including interviewing, onboarding, and developing new clinical team members.
• Work alongside providers and clinical staff on the floor, assisting with procedures, medication verification for MA staff, rooming patients, and conducting nurse visits.
• Ensure clinical workflows, processes, and equipment remain compliant, safe, and aligned with regulatory and organizational standards in collaboration with Ambulatory Nursing leadership.
• Monitor operational efficiency to reduce overtime, decrease patient wait times, and improve overall patient, staff, and provider satisfaction.
