RN Supervisor 11p - 7a Monday through Friday

Summary

The nurse shift supervisor oversees daily patient care, supervises and develops nursing staff, and reports to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care. Compassion and a genuine desire to positively impact lives are essential qualities for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients through physical examinations and diagnostic tests to determine health status.
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Participating in care planning and overseeing its implementation.
  • Supervising LPNs and nursing assistants.
  • Communicating with physicians about patient condition changes and test results.
  • Documenting assessments and care according to standards and policies.
  • Educating patients and families on health-related issues.

Entry Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
  • Valid RN license in the state.
  • Current CPR certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Includes overseeing nursing staff and ensuring quality care.

Physical Demands and Environment

Shift work may be required. The role involves standing, walking, using hands, reaching, feeling, talking, and hearing. Assistance with lifting or transferring patients weighing 100-250 pounds may be necessary. Exposure to bodily fluids, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals is possible.
