Job summary

Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing in Amityville, NY is seeking a caring RN Supervisor for the 11-7 overnight shift. You will oversee total care and safety of residents and staff on the assigned unit and coordinate care plans.

The ideal candidate holds a NY RN license, has at least two years of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting, and demonstrates strong leadership, documentation, and knowledge of health regulations. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current NY RN license.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in long-term health care.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State health regulations.
• Experience with care plans and strong documentation skills.
• BLS Certification required.
• RN License in NY required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total care and safety of residents and employees for assigned unit during shift.
• Supervise and assist nursing personnel on duty.
• Perform duties of Unit Nurse when necessary.
• Document patient histories and administer medications as needed.
• Coordinate necessary appointments and monitor care plans.
• Direct nursing staff across shifts on the assigned units.

We are seeking a caring and dedicated RN Supervisorto work the 11-7 Overnight shift at our skilled nursing facility in Amityville, NY!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The ideal candidate will oversee the total care and safety of all residents and employees for assigned unit during shift
• Supervises and assists all nursing personnel in their work performance when necessary
• Performs duties of Unit Nurse when necessary
• Document patient histories, administers medication and care as needed, coordinate necessary appointments
• Monitor residents to ensure that the plans are being followed and that the resident’s and family needs are being met
• Plan, coordinate, and direct all nursing staff on all shifts on the assigned units

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in New York State
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a long-term health care setting
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Has knowledge of Federal and State health regulations
• Experience with care plans and strong documentation skills
• Flexibility in work hours
• BLS Certification
