Job summary

Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee a nursing unit and coordinate care for geriatric residents. The role includes 12-hour shifts on weekends with full-time options and benefits.

We value compassionate, patient-centered care and strong teamwork to support short-term rehab and long-term services. Requirements include an active RN license in NY, supervisory experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current & good standing RN license in NY (not mandated COVID vaccination).
• Experience with geriatric/short-term rehab/Alzheimer’s desirable.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit activities and staff assignments.
• Monitor vital signs, treatments, and patient responses; document accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate plans and concerns to the team, residents, and families.
• Lead emergency responses and ensure accurate nursing reports and census roster.

• RN Supervisor organizes/oversees/supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments
• Demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
• RN Supervisor will identify & respond, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
• Monitor, observe, & document vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
• RN Supervisor will administer medications & treatments as needed
• Communicate & direct services or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff
• Identify & follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors/services
• Perform RN assessment to resident’s post incidents or change in condition
• Lead & direct emergency situations – (Fire, Elopement, etc.)
• Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster

Requirements

• Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
• Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer’s patients is desirable
• Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, & elderly
• Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
