Job summary

Excelsior Care Group in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for the Optima Care Harborview facility. This full-time evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) offers a salary of $105,000 annually and an opportunity to lead a dedicated nursing team.

You will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with the DON/ADON, physicians, and therapists to deliver high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Prior supervision or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and organization.
• Ability to manage evening nursing operations independently.
• Knowledge of state and federal LTC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during the evening shift.
• Oversee clinical operations to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Assist DON/ADON with daily nursing operations.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility policies.
• Assess residents and provide timely clinical interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during the evening shift.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Participate in surveys, audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure effective communication regarding resident care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide sound clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Nursing Home settings.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing evening nursing operations.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
