Job summary

Optima Care Harborview in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead the evening nursing team from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role focuses on clinical excellence, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, at least 2 years in long-term care, and prior supervisory experience. You will partner with the DON/ADON and collaborate with physicians and therapists to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years in LTAC/Skilled Nursing with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during the evening shift.
• Oversee clinical operations to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with daily nursing operations.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and provide timely clinical interventions.
• Conduct routine rounds to promote resident safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Participate in surveys, audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure effective communication regarding resident care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide sound clinical decision-making.

Optima Care Harborview is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for an RN leader who is passionate about providing exceptional resident care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring clinical excellence throughout the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently while managing evening nursing operations.

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
