Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee the nursing department, coordinate staffing, and ensure high-quality care for residents. This 120-bed facility focuses on rehabilitation and compassionate treatment in a homelike environment.

We offer 12-hour shifts, day or night, up to a $5K sign-on bonus for night shift and excellent benefits after 22.5 hours/week. Under new management, the team emphasizes personalized goals and respectful care.

Qualifications

• Current and good standing RN license in State of New York.
• Geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer's experience desirable.
• Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred.
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
• Able to work under pressure, flexible, and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• RN Supervisor organizes, oversees, and supervises assigned unit activities and staffing.
• Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments, and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate plans and information to team, residents, families, and medical staff.
• Lead emergency situations and maintain nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census roster.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and physicians.

With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, our skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals assist residents in achieving optimal health and well-being. The role of the RN Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility as well as organize and maintain staffing guidelines to meet resident needs.

• RN Supervisor organizes, oversees, & supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments & demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
• RN Supervisor will identify & respond, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
• Monitor, observe, & document vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
• RN Supervisor will administer medications & treatments as needed
• Communicate and direct services ongoing or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff as needed
• Identify & follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors'/services
• Perform RN assessment to resident's post incidents or change in condition.
• Lead & direct emergency situations - (Fire alarm, Elopement, etc.)
• Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster

Requirements

• Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
• Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer's patients is desirable
• Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, & elderly
• Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
