Job summary

Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced RN supervisor for our Long Term Care unit. The role focuses on thorough admissions, comprehensive assessments, and ensuring high-quality resident care under strong leadership.

The position requires an active NY RN license, 1 year of LTAC supervision experience, and CPR/IV certifications. Competitive pay with sign-on bonus and shift differential for evenings and nights are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Long Term Care RN supervision experience required.
• Strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.
• Current, unencumbered NY RN license; CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure admissions are completed thoroughly and all assessments are completed.
• Participate in surveys and inspections by authorized agencies.
• Assess residents, validate nursing staff decisions, and communicate the plan of care.
• Make rounds to ensure staff performance and resident needs are met.
• Monitor documentation and follow up on problem areas with the Director of Nursing.

New Higher Pay Rate (Starting Rate: $44/hr - Up to $46/hr/ w Shift Diff Eve & Nights $47/hr)

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
