Job summary

Ghent-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Center in Ghent, KY is seeking an experienced RN supervisor for the long-term care unit. Monday to Friday, 3pm–11pm shift. The role focuses on admissions, care planning, and ensuring high nursing standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience.
• Current, unencumbered RN license.
• Current CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure admissions are completed thoroughly with all assessments.
• Participate in inspections and surveys by authorized agencies.
• Assess residents and validate nursing staff decisions.
• Develop, implement, and communicate the resident's plan of care.
• Make frequent rounds to ensure staff perform to standards and residents' needs are met.
• Monitor documentation and report to the Director of Nursing.

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
