Job summary

Community Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN – Departmental Float to provide skilled nursing across Inpatient, Outpatient, ED and Infusion services. You will support patient safety and comfort while adapting to the needs of each unit.

This part-time role offers a weekend package in a dynamic hospital setting, with opportunities to build a broad skill set across departments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; RN.
• Current license in the state of Iowa or meets Iowa Board of Nursing criteria.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC – preferred and may be required after hire if not certified.
• BSN – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across Inpatient, Outpatient, ED and Infusion services.
• Perform regular assessments, monitor vital signs, document conditions, and respond to changes.
• Administer medications, IV infusions and treatments per protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across various departments including Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), and Infusion services, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.


• Conduct regular assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient conditions accurately. Respond promptly to changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions as needed.


• Safely administer medications, IV infusions, and other prescribed treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.


• Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and create individualized care plans that align with the patient’s needs and medical goals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurse


• Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established the Iowa Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• BLS, PALS, ACLS, & TNCC – (preferred) and required per licensure after hire if not already certified


• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
