Unit Details

Moss-Magee Elkins Park Stroke Unit is a 30-bed unit for patients aged 18+. We promote an interdisciplinary approach, continual learning, open-door policy, and encourage nurses to participate in committees and events. We practice shared governance, ensuring nurses are heard and involved.

Schedule & Responsibilities

This position requires 12-hour night shifts, working every third weekend, and one holiday per season. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice.
2. Practicing safe medication administration and assessing patient responses.
3. Participating in reviewing and implementing clinical pathways and care coordination.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

1. BSN Degree preferred.
2. State-issued RN license.
3. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
