Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an RN Program Manager - Stroke to lead quality improvement initiatives in stroke care and to coordinate hospital-wide performance improvement efforts.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, regulatory compliance support, and collaboration with medical staff to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery. Strong experience in acute care and QA processes is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in hospital surgery dept, surgery clinic, clinical research or medical records; chart review/abstraction.
  • ACS BQIP SCR training/certification within 6 months of hire.
  • 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experience with databases, data entry or database management preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of licensure regulations, Joint Commission and state/federal standards.
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement methodology and Outcomes Management.
  • Statistical analysis, data assembly and action planning to drive measurable objectives.
  • Ability to organize, facilitate problem-solving teams.
  • Ability to work without supervision toward desired outcomes.
  • Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and database management expertise.
  • Ability to interact professionally with surgical team and staff.

RN PROGRAM MANAGER -STROKE

Assist in the implementation of Hospital Quality Assurance, Management and Improvement by collecting, reporting, and analyzing data; identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement; coordinating activities, and supporting the development and implementation of medical staff and hospital service performance improvement initiatives.
