Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is recruiting RNs for a Stepdown to ICU Career Pathway over 12-18 months. New graduates and experienced nurses are welcome. The program offers a robust residency with hands-on mentoring, classroom sessions, and leadership coaching to build critical care skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with ADN, diploma, or BSN.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• New graduates encouraged to apply; hospital experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain rights/confidentiality.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates with other departments.
• Mentor and collaborate with care teams during the residency pathway.
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment for new graduates.
