Job summary

Precision Scans Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Stepdown Unit for the night shift in Kansas City, KS.

The RN will provide high-quality care to patients transferring from ICU requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in KS.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required depending on facility policy.
• 1–2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU/ICU experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Stepdown/Intermediate Care patients during the night shift.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Stepdown, PCU, or ICU experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively during overnight shifts and in a high-acuity environment.
