Job summary

Precision Scans is hiring a Stepdown RN for per diem days in Kansas City. The Registered Nurse will ensure safe patient care and provide direct patient care within their practice scope. Responsibilities include assessing and teaching patients, monitoring their conditions, and communicating necessary information to physicians. Candidates must have an active RN license, recent acute care experience, and current BLS certification, with ACLS preferred. This role offers a pay rate of $40-$43 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (Stepdown, Telemetry, or ICU preferred).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred/required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and critical care principles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
