Job Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to outpatient oncology infusion patients, adhering to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members and involve patients and families in care planning and education.
• Ensure patient safety and minimize errors by following safety protocols.
• Manage pain effectively and educate patients and families on pain management techniques.
• Provide effective hand-offs and assume on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (for hires after 01/01/2011)
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois
• At least one year of relevant experience
• CPR – Basic Life Support
• CPR – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (up to 6 months post-hire for some departments)
• CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (not required in some departments)

Preferred:

• Three years of experience in a similar role

Additional Information

Sign-on bonus of $2,500 available for external candidates and those not employed by NM in the past year.
