Job summary

Legacy Health in Oregon seeks an experienced RN for the Cath Lab, joining a multidisciplinary team that delivers high-quality care across interventional procedures. You’ll work closely with Angiography, Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology teams in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Expect to perform full nursing process, uphold standards, maintain licensure and certifications, and collaborate under the clinical manager. BSN strongly preferred; one year RN experience required.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred; experienced RNs may be hired without BSN based on clinical experience.
• One-year RN experience or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or equivalent.
• Current applicable state RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provides care across Cath Lab service lines and patient populations.
• Supports a comprehensive range of procedures: interventional cardiology, vascular, IR, neuro, EP, structural heart, pediatric/congenital cardiology.
• Delivers direct patient care in the assigned Cath Lab setting.
• Functions as a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team under the direction of the clinical manager.
• Adheres to the Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.
• Performs all phases of the nursing process: assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Follows Legacy Health System standards for patient assessment and patient transfer.

Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South metro area’s full‑service medical center, with the friendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services of a much larger medical center. Among our specialties: stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care, orthopedic and total joint surgery and a birth center and breast health center.

Responsibilities

• Provides care across all Cath Lab service lines and patient populations, excluding those at Emanuel and Randall Children’s Hospitals

• Supports a comprehensive range of procedures, including:

  • Interventional cardiology

  • Vascular procedures

  • Adult and pediatric interventional radiology

  • Adult and pediatric interventional neuroradiology

  • Adult and pediatric electrophysiology

  • Structural heart interventions

  • Pediatric and congenital interventional cardiology

• Delivers direct patient care in the assigned Hospital Cath Lab setting

• Functions as a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee

• Adheres to the Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse

• Performs all phases of the nursing process: Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care

• Follows Legacy Health System standards, including those for patient assessment and patient transfer

Qualifications

Education:

As required by licensure:

• BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
• BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

• One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
• Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

Skills:

• Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure

• Current applicable state RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS from the American Heart Association.

Pay Range

USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 /Hr.
