About Our Unit

Moss-Magee Rehab Elkins Park Spinal Cord Injury Rehab - 1 North is a 20-bed unit specializing in traumatic and non-traumatic spinal injuries. Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, occupational and physical therapists, neuropsychologists, social workers, clinical specialists, and dietitians to ensure optimal education and outcomes for our patients.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are planned 6 weeks in advance. The position requires:

• Working twelve (12) hour shifts
• Working every third (3rd) weekend
• One holiday per season

Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing patient procedures within the scope of nursing practice.
• Administering medications safely and assessing patient responses.
• Reviewing and implementing clinical pathways and care coordination.

Qualifications

To qualify as a registered nurse, you must meet the following requirements:

• BSN degree preferred.
• State-issued RN license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
