Patient Population: Microvascular, Reconstructive/Plastics, ENT, Bariatric, Oral Surgery, etc.
Patient Ratios: 1:3-5
Number of Beds: 27
Unit selling points: The only ones doing microvascular surgeries in North Texas! Continuous learning, teaching facility, magnet designated, and Bariatric Center of Excellence. ENT/Breast, Microvascular Dedicated Nurse Practitioner. 90% BSN prepared RNs. Specialty certification opportunities: RN-BC and CMSRN. 7 years CLABSI free, 2000 days CAUTI free, high quality patient outcomes, leading BUMC. U.S. News & World Report ranked us among the TOP 50 hospitals nationwide in treating Ear, Nose and Throat Disease. Accredited Bariatric Surgery unit through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).
