Job summary

Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to manage nursing care in the cath lab and interventional radiology units. You will perform assessments, coordinate care plans, and provide procedural support in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires an RN license, at least one year medical-surgical experience, BLS and ALS certifications, and strong communication and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in the applicable state.
  • At least 1 year medical-surgical experience; critical care or PACU experience preferred.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ALS, and other state-specific licensure requirements.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation upon admission and throughout care.
  • Develop and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Implement, coordinate, and document nursing interventions, including patient education, medication administration, and procedural support.
  • Evaluate patient responses, modify care plans accordingly, and document outcomes.
  • Demonstrate professional accountability, participate in educational activities, and serve as a resource to colleagues.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control policies, and promote a safe environment.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous communication, effective collaboration, and respecting patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, collect data, and participate in research activities.
  • Deliver age-appropriate and specialized care, including pain management and abuse assessment, especially for high‑risk patients.

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) manages nursing care activities in the cath lab and interventional radiology areas, supporting the hospital's success with energy and motivation.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation upon admission and throughout care.

  • Develop and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

  • Implement, coordinate, and document nursing interventions, including patient education, medication administration, and procedural support.

  • Evaluate patient responses, modify care plans accordingly, and document outcomes.
