Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty for a PRN role covering days and weekends in our Springfield, MO area. You will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and involve families in care decisions to improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes safe handoffs, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional development in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Prior nursing experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Involve patients and families in care decisions and education.

What You'll Do

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities in accordance with scope of practice and documented competencies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, department meetings, and professional development activities.
• Serve as a patient advocate while protecting patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
• Valid driver's license required for Home Infusion nurses.
• Certifications CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience Previous nursing experience is welcome but not required.
