Mercy is hiring an RN to provide nursing care, using the nursing process and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. This role coordinates patient care with other departments and evaluates care effectiveness for assigned patients.

Current state nursing license is required; CPR or certification within 90 days is expected. Onsite duties include port draws, labs, rooming, and clinic experience, with emphasis on oncology when available.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of medications, patient education, and self-care concepts.
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Current valid state nursing license.
• Driver's license required for Home Infusion nurses.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.

Licensure

• Current valid state license.
• A valid driver's license is required for nurses in Home Infusion.

Experience

Not required, experience in Oncology is preferred.

Certifications

CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.

• Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
• Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data.
• Equipment Used: Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.
