Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking an RN for Scripps Clinic – Rancho Bernardo. This full-time, benefited role involves 12-hour day shifts typically from 8am–8:30pm on varied days, with weekends and holidays on rotation, at 15004 Innovation Drive, San Diego 92128.

Requirements include a CA RN license and current BLS, ACLS and PALS. Preferred BSN and ED/Urgent Care experience. Eligible for up to $4k new hire retention incentives and relocation up to $3k for moves over 100 miles.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited RN program.
• Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care.
• Current CA license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certificates.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.
• Educate patients and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
• Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
• Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

This is a full time, benefited position working 12-hr day shifts generally from 8am-8:30pm on varied days (open 7 days per week). Weekends and holidays required on rotating basis. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

• Internal candidates
• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Completion of accredited RN program
• Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current CA license

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• 1+ years RN experience in Emergency Department within the past 3 years
