Job summary

Scripps Health in Encinitas is seeking a benefited, full-time nurse to join the Cancer Treatment Room. The role involves 10-hour day shifts from 7:30am to 6:00pm and may require floating to Jefferson in Oceanside as needed.

You will provide direct patient care for high-acuity patients, collaborate with the care team, and support compassionate, patient-centered service in a nationally recognized program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to high acuity patients in the Cancer Treatment Room.
• Engage in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
• Triage, perform clinical procedures, respond to emergencies and administer medications within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Job description

This is a benefited, full time position working 10-hr day shifts generally from 7:30am-6pm. Located at Scripps Clinic Encinitas and will float toJefferson in Oceanside as needed.

What you'll do:

• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provide direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice. Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
• Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
